Start by clicking New Playlist in your Custom Channels dashboard.

From there, you have three ways to build:

• Manual Search: Build your playlist song by song, or start by importing a Spotify playlist.
• Choose Your Style: Blend up to four playlists curated by our music team, then add songs from Spotify.
• AI-Recommended Playlist: Start with music based on your preferences and business type. Then add Spotify songs to make it more your own.

How Do You Import a Spotify Playlist Into Custom Channels?

Bringing a Spotify playlist into Custom Channels only takes a few steps.

1. Paste Your Spotify Playlist Link

Copy the link to the Spotify playlist you want to use and paste it into Custom Channels.

2. Review Your Songs

After you paste the link, Custom Channels shows your playlist and the percentage of songs available to import. The songs are selected automatically, so you can quickly review the list and unselect anything you do not want to bring over. When an imported track is explicit, Custom Channels looks for an appropriate clean version when one is available.

3. Import and Keep Building

Click Import, and the selected songs are added to your new playlist. From there, you can start playing it or keep adding more music.

What are the Three Ways to Use the Custom Channels Spotify Import?

You can use Spotify Import in three ways: start with a pre-made Spotify playlist, add Spotify songs to a curated mix, or add them to an AI-Recommended Playlist.

Start With the Spotify Playlist You Already Have

If you already know exactly what you want to hear, this is the fastest option.

Import the Spotify playlist you have already built, make any adjustments you want, and start playing. This works well for businesses that have spent months or years dialing in their music vibe and do not want to rebuild it song by song.

Choose Your Style, Then Add Spotify

For most businesses, this is the option we recommend. Start with up to four playlists curated by our music team, then add the Spotify songs you already know and like. This gives you a much larger mix of music to work with. That matters when your playlist is playing all day, every day.

Think about playlist size: A 2,000-song playlist is roughly 100 hours of music, or about 12.5 business days at 8 hours a day. A 60-song playlist can start to feel repetitive pretty quickly.

Start With AI-Recommended, Then Make It Yours

If you know the feeling you want but have not built a full playlist yet, start with AI-Recommended. Custom Channels creates a starting playlist based on your onboarding preferences and business type. Then you can add Spotify songs to bring more of your own taste into the mix.
